Candidate Mike took voluntary redundancy from his COO role at a global financial services firm in October, and was on gardening leave until the following February. He approached Venquis in January following a colleague’s recommendation, wishing to explore his options, but was in no hurry to return to work at that stage.
Mike was ideally looking for a senior level contract role with a tier one investment bank. An exceptional candidate, he had a strong consultancy background and had delivered numerous high profile IT and business change programmes. Aware that Mike would only be interested in roles that suited his requirements perfectly, we stayed in touch but only approached him specifically about a role in May after receiving a brief that exactly matched his experience and expectations.
Confident that he would be the perfect fit, Mike was the first candidate we contacted on receipt of this brief, which was for a senior programme manager at a tier one bank. We were unsurprised when, despite being the most expensive candidate seen by the client, he secured the role after two interviews and was offered, and accepted, a 12-month contract.
