House of Lords


For more than a decade Gabby Bertin was one of the powerful women by David Camerons side, an invisible yet hugely influential figure around Westminster and Whitehall.

In September 2016, Gabby became the youngest member of the House of Lords. At just 41, she stands out in a chamber where the average age is 70. She recently sponsored the Stalking Protection Bill during its passage into the Lords, to crack down on stalking by strangers.

Baroness Bertin is currently director of strategic communications and campaigns at BT.

Nick Jenkins

Founder, Moonpig

Dragons Den

Nick founded the online greetings card retailer Moonpig.com which he sold in 2011. He was also a “dragon” on the BBC Two business series Dragons’ Den from 2015 to 2016.

Nick is an active investor in early stage tech businesses. He is a founding trustee of Operation Fistula and a trustee of a multi academy trust of nine schools in South London.

Deeph has extensive experience of working on world leading STEM in academia, industry and government. He is Professor of Practice within Imperial’s Business School, Deputy Director of the Institute for Security Science Technology and is co-founder of the UK-Government funded Research Institute in Trustworthy Industrial Control Systems and Imperial’s FinTech Network of Excellence.

Deeph has acted as a board member and bid reviewer for programmes in the Home Office, the US Department of Homeland Security and the EU’s Framework Programme for Research.

Having previously set-up and successfully floated a niche recruitment business on the London Stock Exchange in 2007, Barnaby went on to launch Venquis in 2011 with the vision of creating “the world’s business transformation recruiter”.

Olly Donnelly

Chief Executive


Following roles at the World Bank in Washington DC, where she was awarded the World Bank Youth Innovation Fund, and Accenture Strategy in London, Olly founded the charity Shivia in 2008. Shivia works with some of the world’s poorest communities in West Bengal, India, to empower them to create livelihoods, boost income and inspire permanent change.

In 2009 Olly was selected as one of Management Todays ’35 women under 35’ list, in 2015 she was selected for Financial News Extra Mile 40 list, and in 2017 Shivia was awarded ‘International charity of the year’ by Charity Times.

Maxine Goddard

Strategic Operations Leader


Maxine not only is an award-winning insurance leader; she also is a mentor to many for the empowerment and inclusion of  women and multicultural diversity across the  financial services  industry.

She led the reorganisation of Zurich’s BAME ERG and significantly widened its national reach and garnered c-suite executive sponsorship and positive engagement resulting in Zurich being the first insurer to publish its ethnicity pay gap. She is an executive member of the industry-wide Insurance Cultural Awareness Network and also co-spearheaded the concept, design and implementation of the INspire cross-industry mentoring program, the first self-service mentoring platform of its kind in collaboration with the WCI-Independent Women in Insurance and PwC.
