Strong candidate representation lands high profile test analyst role

Candidate Matt had been working as a test analyst for a global investment management firm for some time.  Although his situation was comfortable and he had gained some invaluable experience, he felt there was no room to grow further. On the advice of a colleague, he approached Venquis, to help him with his next career move. His requirements included a desire to learn new technologies, increase his salary, develop his skillset and ‘spread his wings’ at a firm that offered challenging and rewarding work.

Meanwhile, a test analyst role at one of Europe’s leading asset managers became available. They were creating a large QA function from scratch and required a strong test analyst. Matt expressed a keen interest in the role so we submitted his CV, which was subsequently rejected as it did not meet the role’s exact requirements. Confident that Matt was the perfect candidate for the role, we talked to the hiring manager about Matt’s strengths and capabilities who then agreed to interview him.  The interview was a success and Matt was offered the job.

In the meantime, however, Matt had been offered another position, better paid but less preferred. We helped Matt to reach the decision that was right for him – taking his preferred role - and successfully managed the offer and acceptance process on behalf of Matt and our client.
