Senior Data Scientist – Data Team Corporate ICT

As a Senior Data Scientist at Kiwa, you will support the company’s digital transformation by developing advanced BI reports, data models, and data products that drive strategic decision-making. Working closely with data team members and TIC specialists, you will build and optimize dashboards in Power BI, ensuring data quality and governance are maintained. Harnessing the potential of Microsoft technologies, you will contribute to Kiwa’s new digital strategy, Digital Route 2027. Your efforts will help standardize business processes, deliver valuable insights, and position Kiwa as a digital leader in the TIC market.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making across various business units.
  • Applying AI, Machine Learning to improve products and services
  • Optimizing data models, and processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitoring data quality, integrity, and implementing data governance practices.
  • Developing advanced BI reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Presenting insights and analytical findings to senior management and key stakeholders.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you are independent, driven, and committed to delivering top results. Your proactive approach helps advance data practices across the organization.

What you bring:

  • Academic degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics).
  • At least 5-8 years of work experience in data analysis, BI reporting, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Familiarity python and Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or others.
  • Familiarity with creating Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Bricks is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Where are you going to work?

In this role, you will be a key member of Kiwa’s Data team within Corporate ICT, based at our Rijswijk office. The team, known for its informal atmosphere, consists of five experienced colleagues. Your work is hybrid, from home and at the Rijswijk office. Travelling to other Kiwa offices as is required, as Kiwa operates in over 40 countries worldwide, but we always prioritize work-life balance. As part of the CIO Office within Corporate ICT, you will collaborate with various data technology suppliers on complex, knowledge-intensive projects. Additionally, as a part of SHV Holding, you will have the opportunity to engage with data specialists from other SHV groups, fostering a broader data community.
