Service Owner


This is an IT transformation journey to simplify, standardise and centralize the technology landscape. The objective is to create the foundation from which it can drive the digitization agenda of the newly formed cluster of Transport & Logistics brands. The first step in the IT Strategy is to put in place a core IT team that can deliver standard IT services.

A vacancy exists for a Service Owner

Purpose:
Has responsibility for IT delivery within a well-defined functional area that requires domain specific subject matter expertise. Has accountability for leading the team and managing the overall quality of service. Has responsibility for the availability and business continuity, works with end users and vendors to maintain and improve the service. Ensures compliance to IT Service Management processes and procedures.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Has accountability for availability and stability of the service, making sure that resources are properly used and initiating corrective action when necessary
  • Manages relationships with vendors making sure all contractual terms are met and manages associated costs
  • Defines and applies measurable guidelines and standards including data quality measures to optimise the use of systems, vendors and processes
  • Has accountability for directing and motivating the support teams to deliver on overall goals and strategies
  • Has responsibility for the life cycle of their service to ensure business demands are met




SKILLS/EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related experience/certifications.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Terminal Operating Systems, specifically NAVIS.
  • Extensive knowledge of container terminal operational practices preferred
  • Experience transitioning support services with multiple vendors
  • International Travel is Required
