Service Introduction Lead


This is an IT transformation journey to simplify, standardise and centralize the technology landscape. The objective is to create the foundation from which it can drive the digitization agenda of the newly formed cluster of Transport & Logistics brands. The first step in the IT Strategy is to put in place a core IT team that can deliver standard IT services.

A vacancy exists for a Service Introduction Lead

Purpose:
Responsible for working with project teams and Service Operations to ensure that IT services are ready to be released into production and that they successfully meet the criteria required to be handed over to operations. The Service Introduction Lead will work with project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure that solutions are designed, built and deployed to be operated efficiently and effectively in production usage.




PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Working concurrently across multiple projects to ensuring that project plans, solution designs and service models are appropriate to productionise releases
  • Ensuring that Service Operations are ready to receive new releases e.g. knowledge of the system, known defects, administration and production operation transferred and the Service Desk training completed
  • Ensuring that operational costs (e.g. software licences, hosting charges and service fees) and production resourcing have been sufficiently provided for to avoid unplanned increases in the IT run budget
  • Ensuring that there is appropriate warranty/early life support to avoid the offhand issues into production
  • Understanding the impact of a release on customers, the service organisation, suppliers and technology
  • Checking the completeness of the service introduction criteria and, if not complete, recommending actions required to support the release schedule




SKILLS/EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related experience/certifications.
  • Experience in IT Service Introduction and Service Transition
  • Advanced knowledge of service introduction
  • Advanced knowledge of service operations - essential
  • ITIL certified
  • Advanced knowledge of service management
  • Advanced knowledge of service integration
  • Advanced knowledge of Information Services functions
  • Experience in Business & IT Transition & Transformation Service introduction
  • knowledge of service operations
  • Medium knowledge of people and organisational change
  • Medium knowledge of Shared Services - advantageous
  • In this role, you will be the person who cooperates with great number of stakeholders
