Project Manager/PMO - MUST HAVE GDPR experience and Data Protection/Compliance

Accountable for the delivery of small to medium Business Technology projects or provide support to Project Manager / Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager on sub-projects of larger projects, ensuring the required outputs are delivered on time, to budget, and within the agreed quality standards

Project Management Discipline:

  • Define the scope of the project by discovering, analyzing, defining, and documenting the requirements that support the business goals. Ensure scope is agreed with all stakeholders
  • Accountable for planning and monitoring the project and proving appropriate support to Project Manager / Senior Project Manager / Program Manager
  • Produce and agree approval to the project initiation document
  • Prepare project and exception plans. Obtaining approval from the project boards
  • Liaise with all appropriate parties (including Security, Business, Data Privacy, Legal, Technology, Vendors) to ensure clarity of project scope, deliverables and expectations via effective communication
  • Ensures that appropriate progress monitoring and facilitation disciplines are in place and adhered to. This includes the setup and running of appropriate meetings, preparation and distribution of status reports and minutes
  • Manage the production of the required deliverables including monthly status reports detailing accomplishments, issues and tasks in progress, Project Control Processes, Procedures, Change Control, Risk Management (risk tracking, mitigation and issue tracking)
  • Ensure that dependencies within the project and between other projects are identified.
  • Report to the project board and client at an agreed frequency and at the end of each project stage - extra reporting may be required in exceptional circumstances
  • Take responsibility for overall progress and appropriate use of resource, taking corrective actions where appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate sign‐offs have been obtained to demonstrate that a project implementation has met the stakeholders, project management group, compliance and business objectives to enable go‐live
  • Throughout the project, review lessons learned and implement mitigating actions where appropriate
  • Ensure the project is closed in a controlled manner


  • University degree in IT, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business related
  • Accreditation in at least one project management methodology (not essential)


  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in an international company supporting senior leadership
  • Experience of working in a project management environment directly from a Project Office, Business Analysis or Technology perspective.
  • Detailed understanding of the full project lifecycle
  • Experience in supporting management of project budgets in excess of £100k;
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of solutions in an outsourcing environment or service industry;
  • Previous involvement in data compliancy related projects, especially GDPR, advantageous but not essential
