Head of PMO

This is an IT transformation journey to simplify, standardise and centralize the technology landscape. The objective is to create the foundation from which it can drive the digitization agenda of the newly formed cluster of Transport & Logistics brands. The first step in the IT Strategy is to put in place a core IT team that can deliver standard IT services.

A vacancy exists for a Head of PMO.

  • Develop and maintain the IT project t management methodology. To do this, working closely with stakeholders internally in the OCIO as well as other functions so that the framework drives solid project execution.
  • Ensure the project management methodology is implemented globally across all regions and OCIO functions. This includes creating awareness, training and control mechanisms.
  • Define standard rules of engagement between other functions and OCIO in the sphere of project management. This in such a way that it is clear for business stakeholders how they can get IT support for their projects, and reversely for OCIO staff to know how to provide the best possible service to their business counterparts.
  • Implement and maintain the necessary tools and processes to establish a complete overview of the IT project portfolio. This includes regular, standard reporting of project status.
  • Prepare, host and follow up on the Project Board meetings, to make sure they are focused and lead to clear decisions and direction.
  • Ensure complete governance on the end to end build portfolio.
  • Together with OCIO colleagues, establish project controls and reporting on project finances, Enterprise Architecture, IT security and strategy alignment and build this into the stage-gates.

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related experience/certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management, within IT.
  • Experience with project and program portfolio management.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders from different functions, levels and geographies.
  • Ability to drive and implement changes which may be controversial.
  • Willing to act in a changing organisation.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn the logistics business is preferred, but not required.
