About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a modern web platform. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience across web application, API, and enterprise system testing who enjoys taking ownership of test automation strategy and collaborating within Agile teams.
The successful candidate will combine hands-on automation expertise with strong analytical skills, helping to design, implement, and maintain both automated and manual testing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, accessibility, snapshot, and API test suites using Playwright and related frameworks.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation strategies.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health and perform ad hoc validation of application functionality and data quality.
Manual Testing & Test Management
- Carry out manual testing across web applications, APIs, databases, and desktop applications.
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive test scenarios.
- Manage defects, test cycles, and reporting using test management tools.
- Support test planning, estimation, and quality risk assessments.
Agile Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and improve product quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse system and test data using Python where appropriate.
- Produce clear reporting on test execution, quality metrics, KPIs, and overall product health.
