An established Specialist insurance client are seeking a Technical Architect to deliver technical direction to enhance capability of their Insurance platform services hosted in Azure Cloud. This is a fully home based position during the pandemic period that will eventually require a minimum of 2 days working on site in Colchester (fortnightly / every 2 weeks).

Specific duties will include:

• Responsible for Interacting with senior executive stakeholders to Identify their needs
• Tailor technical solutions in Azure to address senior stakeholder expectations and goals
• Work with 3rd parties and Onshore/Offshore Development, technology and Agile Delivery teams to deliver your requirements
• Remain hands on and provide technical leadership for the delivery of Azure based solutions to enhance the Existing platform capability
• Creation of concepts, Projects and Solutions considering; testing requirements and Java OR .NET based software development, API and integrations
• High level Technical architecture design

Required skills/Experience:

• Previous experience working in technical delivery position
• Ability to partner with both Technical and no-technical departments
• Strong snr stakeholder management experience
• Technical expertise of the Azure stack and serverless technology (Azure PAAS)
• Previous hands on coding experience Java or .NET
• Good Knowledge of Kubernetes / Containerisation / web servers
• Ability to manage small development teams
• Understanding of Architectural Process
• Previous Insurance experience /- ADVANTAGEOUS
