They are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Technology to lead their technical teams and drive the development of cutting-edge software products.
As the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for shaping their technical strategy and ensuring the successful development and delivery of software products. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, improving software quality, and leading a high-performing technical team.
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and ensures long-term success and growth.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor technical teams, including software developers, engineers, and architects, to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Product Development: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and identify opportunities to integrate new technologies to enhance our software products.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and implement best practices for software development, quality assurance, and testing to maintain the highest standards of software quality.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, budgets, and technology infrastructure, to support the development of software products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, sales, and customer support teams to ensure that software development efforts meet customer needs and market demands.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure software security and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data protection requirements.
- Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of software development tools and platforms.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of technology initiatives and report to the executive leadership team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CTO) is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role within a software development environment, preferably in a managerial or executive capacity.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing technical teams.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
