Our Global client is a leader in the entertainment industry and they are looking for a Project manager with 3-5 years of experience to join the team and work on their huge Kiosk project. This will suit a project manager with good EPOS or MPOS experience or someone who has already worked on delivering a Kiosk / Booking system projects end to end. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a fantastic company and work on global projects
JOB PURPOSE
- To deliver IT solutions to users' requirements or problems to agreed time, cost and quality expectations, in line with the plan, and subject to change control
- To achieve high standards of customer service (to anticipate and focus on the needs of customers as a priority (both internal and external) and act to ensure they are met)
- To estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals
- To plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools such as MS Project
- To identify, monitor and control 3rd Party dependencies
- To identify, monitor and control Business/User dependencies
- To identify, plan and manage the mitigations needed to the risks faced by the project
- To resolve issues and conflicts within the project
- To draft and submit budget proposals for CAPEX Approval
- To monitor and control budgets against actual, committed and planned spend
- To produce a Project Initiation Document, project plans and other associated project documentation for each project to confirm - and gain agreement to - scope, budget, timescales, resources and other project parameters
- To identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- To manage and monitor time spent on project milestones and deliverables to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget
- To contribute to Project Board meetings and liaise with project stakeholders
- To monitor and report project status and forecasts to the accepted standard and schedule
- To manage requests for changes
- To ensure that appropriate tests are conducted for all IT systems or solutions
- To manage delivery, implementation and transition into Operational Support through the appropriate decision-making bodies
- To conduct project Lessons Learned workshops, pull together recommendations and create Closure report
- To gain Project Acceptance Sign Off
- (SPM) To line manage more junior members of the Project Management community
- (SPM) To contribute to the development of the approach to project governance
APPLIED KNOWLEDGE & SPECIALIST SKILLS
- To understand the demands of the business environment and the potential impact IT has on it
- To be able to effectively manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- To demonstrate imagination and creative reasoning
- To facilitate workshops where needed
- To be diplomatic, patient and approachable
- To be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- To be able to demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Ideally knowledge in the food&beverage/retail/stock systems
Commercial IT experience working with the following technologies and methods:
- PMO processes
- Microsoft Office product suite
- Coordination and Planning (Microsoft Project)
- Experience of structured methodologies such as TDD, Agile, and Waterfall.
- ITIL/Microsoft Operations Framework experience / qualified. - desirable
