Job Description:
As the CIO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for driving their technology strategy and ensuring alignment with their business goals. You will lead the development and execution of technology initiatives to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives and long-term vision.
- IT Governance: Establish and manage effective IT governance, ensuring the secure, efficient, and compliant operation of technology systems.
- Digital Transformation: Lead the digital transformation efforts, identifying and implementing technologies to improve customer engagement, operational efficiency, and data analytics.
- Innovation: Champion a culture of innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and promoting their integration into the company’s operations and products.
- Security and Compliance: Oversee the implementation of robust cyber security measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

- Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration and ensuring the department’s alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments and resource allocation.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels
- Data Management: Establish data governance and analytics practices to harness the power of data for decision-making and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIO, CISSP) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CIO or senior IT executive in the insurance or financial sector.
- Deep understanding of insurance industry processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading IT teams.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IoT in the context of the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of information security and data privacy best practices.
