My client, a leading innovator in Geo-data solutions, is revolutionising how businesses interact with Geo-data through their advanced cloud-hosted platform. Their platform serves as a single source of truth, enabling clients to visually track project progress, gain early insights, and drive towards success in real-time. They are expanding their team and are looking for a skilled Back-end Developer who is passionate about working with Python, AWS, and serverless technologies while following DevOps best practices.

Your Role:
As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components of our client’s platform. Using Python and AWS serverless technologies, you will contribute to the development of high-performance applications while following DevOps principles to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain serverless functions using Python and AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
• Implement and optimise back-end services to meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and testing processes.
• Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Python, AWS technologies, and DevOps practices.

Your Experience & Skills:

• Strong experience in Python programming, especially in cloud-based and serverless environments.
• Experience working with AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and other serverless technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
• Good understanding of system performance monitoring and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
• Experience with Agile development practices (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate) are a plus.
