2014 at Venquis “from start upwards...”
What do Kenyan runners, South Korean golfers and Jamaican sprinters have in common? The answer is that in 2014 they have all been role models for high performance at Venquis. Performance that has lead to our reaching a run rate turnover of £12 million in our 4th year, 34 great employees, moving into a 3500 square foot office opposite Goldman Sachs, placing over 175 change and transformation candidates into roles across the Insurance, Investment Management, Energy and Retail sectors. We were also inspired to enter the JP Morgan run and made it to the Oktoberfest (in Kennington).
Recruitment doesn’t stop at finding the right candidate, that’s when it starts. We have continued to identify the most suitable candidates and to reassure clients that we really have found the best candidates. Venquis consultants continue to gain credibility in their sector, receiving more training and spending more time understanding the issues that our clients face. We have even developed a Competency Framework that our clients are using to objectively assess the candidates we provide.
In January, Venquis leaders were on a leadership development course in Calcutta where our chosen charity, Shivia, is based. By May the Venquis brand, office and website had all been transformed. The training academy has been stretching our new starters all year and in July we won the “Best Newcomer” category in the Recruiter awards. By November we were accepted into APSCo as our journey from start up to the world’s business transformation recruiter continues....
It’s now Christmas time and next year is looking promising. Our new Bavarian Munich office opens in January, there a good chance that we will be at the real Oktoberfest in October 2015 and I’m sure we will have a few adventures in between!
